Case Study – Heron Travel

Established in August 2010 by Paul Perruzza, Kendal-based Heron Travel is a small family-run coach hire company with a growing fleet of late model, high quality vehicles ranging from 8 to 30 seat coaches.

Prior to Heron Travel, Paul owned and successfully operated another coach hire company, Princess of Kendal, for over 18 years before selling the business in 2007.

As part of launching and establishing Heron Travel, Paul was keen to create an online presence for the business that reflected the company’s image and values properly.  At this point, Paul turned to local web agency, System Potential.

Paul commented:

My aim for the website was to create an online brochure for the business. Through my network of business contacts, I was referred to System Potential and recommended to discuss my requirements with them.

The team at System Potential took the time to get to know Paul, his business and his marketplace.

Paul added:

I prefer to deal with local businesses wherever possible and I also value being able to have face-to-face meetings with key suppliers. I have found the staff at System Potential to be easy to work with, professional and responsive to my requirements. They are supportive and have earned my trust.

The Heron Travel website has been designed and built to showcase the company’s capability, capacity and credibility.  The site also links with Heron Travel’s social media and in the future, the plan is to look at integrating an online booking system for the fleet which will allow customers to check availability and reserve a coach.

Alan Jewitt, Managing Director at System Potential, said:

With extensive development experience and expertise in creating online booking systems, System Potential is best-placed to assist Heron Travel in the future expansion and functionality of the web site
