Creative Guardian Angels help business to sell online
A one-woman business selling hand-crafted goods has been transformed thanks to a Kendal business partnership.
Amanda Gallagher now has a distinctively branded website and online shop, after working with Creative Lakes and SYPO (System Potential).
It means that Amanda, who makes textile giftware, bags and accessories, can move on from selling only on Facebook to having a professional and customer-friendly online outlet.
Lancaster-based Amanda set up her business after dusting off an old sewing machine left to her when her mother – the “Angel” – died. She comes from a family of time-served and professional upholsterers, so working with fabrics and creating beautiful products is in her DNA.
After a friend asked her to make a gift, word spread about the quality of Amanda’s craftsmanship, and demand began to grow. She moved from working at the kitchen table into an old caravan – the “tin box” – in the garden. Even that’s too small now, and a summerhouse in the garden has been converted into a workshop.
With help from Neil Corrigan at Creative Lakes, who carried out a re-branding exercise, and Mark Syred at SYPO, she now has a new website, TinboxAngel.com, with a secure and easy to use shopping page.
They have been absolutely wonderful to work with, giving me fantastic encouragement. It’s been quite a journey. Now there will be new products going on the website regularly.
